No. The connection is read-only: it can read history and holdings, and nothing else. There is no code path on our side that could place an order, because the connection does not have that permission to give.
How is the brokerage link secured?
You sign in on your broker’s own screen, so we never see a password — we receive a read-only link, and its secret is sealed with AES-256-GCM before it is stored. You can revoke it any time from the app or from your broker; the record keeps its history and shows the gap. Only whole accounts link, so nothing inside one can be hidden, and every profile says how many accounts are linked.
Do losing trades and expired options really show up?
Yes. Every position in a linked account publishes, and an option that expires worthless is recorded as the loss it is — not as a position that quietly disappeared.
Can a trader hide a bad month, or delete a trade?
Not inside a linked account. Fills are append-only and the numbers are computed by us. A trader can disconnect, but the record keeps everything up to that day and shows the gap after it. The profile also says how many accounts are linked, so an unlinked account is a visible absence rather than a secret.
How are returns calculated?
Nightly, from closed positions: time-weighted return, win rate, and max drawdown, over 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and all time. Every figure is shown with how long the record has been verified and how many positions it covers — a return never appears on its own.
What does a yellow seal mean?
The position behind an idea is not currently vouched for by a live brokerage link — it is a demo account, test data, or an open position whose connection has lapsed. The line next to the seal says which.
Is anything here investment advice?
No. PickVesting publishes verified records and the ideas traders choose to share about their own positions. Nothing is tailored to you, and before anyone pays we ask them to confirm exactly that in the subscriber acknowledgment.
What does it cost a trader?
Nothing to be verified. If you sell a VIP, the platform keeps 15% of each payment and the rest is paid out to you through Stripe.
